Forest Bathing (Harbour Hygge)

What You’ll Do

Forest Bathing: Translated from the Japanese term shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is also known as forest therapy, a practice that connects people to natural environments.

Hygge: Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word describing a mood of coziness and comfortable, most often in the winter, with feelings of wellness and contentment.

Roll these two cultural experiences into one amazing journey!

First, learn about the practice of forest bathing in a provincial park with a high level of biodiversity.

Participants will engage in a variety of sensory activities that will help reveal the stories of the forest through art, science and geometry and provide inspiration for nature journaling.

After a snowy forest bathing journey participants can relax in front of a bonfire in warm and cozy seating.

Finish up journaling, set an intention and offer it to the bonfire while enjoying a cup of mulled cider.

A delightful way to spend a winter afternoon!
